couple having snowball fight on their elopement day

So you want an elopement that ignites your sense of adventure? Would you…

  • Have snowball fight along a mountain rage?
  • Or stargaze with your partner in the wee hours of the night?
  • How about a 4×4 jeep tour over a mountain pass?

The point is…when you throwout the rule book, the template, the cookie cutter – the conversation shifts from expectations to possibilities on your elopement day.

The “Swiss Army Knife” Photographer

Your adventure elopement photographer needs to be equal parts:

  • Great Communicator
  • Artist
  • Explorer
  • Steward to the land
  • Planning Wizard

You could end up miles into the woods with this person! You need to be able to trust them completely – not just with your photos, but with your experience.

A perfect wedding day isn’t just about everything going precisely as planned (nature has a way of throwing curveballs and thunderstorms), it’s about embracing every moment of the experience from start to finish – yes, even the plot twists and quirks.

You need an elopement photographer who can help give you presence while navigating the landscape.

How it works

01. Contact

Get in touch so I can learn more about your story and where you’re at in the planning process! After we jump on a video call and we think we’re the right fit for each other we can then work through paperwork and get on the books!

02. Plan

Once you secure your date, I’ll send over a questionnaire to get a clear vision of what you’re dreaming of. After we find the perfect location, I’ll work on the details and help you navigate any potential permits needed.

03. Elope

Celebrate your best adventure yet! On this day know that I have your back so that you can be present. This isn’t your average photoshoot – I’ll be there as your nature guide and “Swiss army knife” to help you fully enjoy your day.

04. Relive

Your best day with next day teasers – Because who doesn’t want to pinch themselves and see that it was real! Several weeks later you’ll be able to relive this chapter for years to come.

“His photographs were stunning and they speak for themselves, but his attention to detail did not stop at this photography. He was able to provide enough direction so that no one looked awkward, but also enough freedom for some great candid shots with none of them looking overly staged and stuffy. He was fun and engaging and even had some interesting facts about the location which made it feel more like a fun tour and made us all forget about the cold. I would highly recommend him!”

– Sylwia + Deep

“Highly Recommend! Ethan took care of the permitting, logistics, and captured the most beautiful memories. Due to his extensive outdoor background we even stumbled across a heard of moose that seemed to pose just for us. After interviewing what seemed to be a lot of “hobbyists” instead of professionals, we chose Ethan for his extensive knowledge of the area, weather, gear, natural lighting, etc. Ethan was timely in responses and very thorough in planning as we knew nothing of the Colorado area. You only do this one (if you do it right) so make it count!”

“Ethan was a pleasure to work with! He was great with communication and made sure everyone was on the same page! When we got to the shoot in the morning he was very personable and made everyone feel comfortable! Afterwards, he got the pictures back to us in no time at all and they looked absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend Ethan for anyone looking for a great adventure elopement photographer!”

Elopement Permits

Depending on the details of your elopement, a permit may be needed. Most of the time National Parks and State Parks require a permit. All permit costs are additional to the above packages. I also have a list of locations off the beaten path, for those wanting something more adventurous.

Giving back to nature

Whether your new nature or have more miles on your boots than your car’s odometer, there’s always room to learn, grow and give back. Being a Leave No Trace Photographer is one of the many ways I give back to nature.

If we work together, I promise to capture epic moments of your day in a less impactful way to help keep nature wild and protect the natural beauty of this planet, why you ask?

Not only does following the Leave No Trace ethics helps preserve outdoor spaces and our access to them, but also by making sure that we use them sustainability and responsibly–so that you can return to whatever location you choose to have a vow renewal or anniversary session and still have it be as pristine as the day that you got married.
