Kym & Mike’s All Black Intimate Wedding in Breckenridge
Kym and Mike’s all black intimate wedding in Breckenridge, Colorado, came together beautifully despite a few bumps along the way. Originally, they planned to marry near Twin Lakes, but permitting challenges forced a change in plans. Things started to feel stressful, but after I suggested a few alternative locations near Breckenridge I knew well, they trusted my guidance, and it turned out to be the perfect fit without compromising their vision.
The couple hosted their ceremony in Alma with their closest loved ones during the late afternoon. Surrounded by the beauty of the mountains, they exchanged heartfelt vows in an intimate setting. Kym’s incredible creativity shone through in her DIY bouquet and boutonniere, which she designed with dark florals and labradorite crystals to reflect their witchy, all-black theme. Guests held stones filled with well-wishes, adding another meaningful and personal touch to the day.
After the ceremony, we drove north, crossing Hoosier Pass, before arriving at their sunset location near Blue Lakes at the base of Quandary Peak. The scenery was stunning, giving them an incredible backdrop for their photos. Their chosen date coincided with a rare blue moon, and they hoped to see it light up the night. Luckily, we captured a few lantern-lit moments under the sky and caught a glimpse of the moon—a perfect ending to their unforgettable day.
