Ainsley & Michael’s Granby Colorado Elopement
Ainsley and Michael’s Granby Colorado elopement day was a perfect blend of adventure and heartfelt moments. We began in Rocky Mountain National Park, exploring Trail Ridge Road at sunrise. The soft, overcast light set a peaceful tone as the two shared quiet laughs and took in the stunning views.
Afterward, Ainsley took a moment to honor her late friend Michelle. She had been gifted Michelle’s pashmina, which she wrapped around herself while reflecting. I gently prompted her to think of some favorite memories, and as she reminisced, she shared how Michelle was a total hippie who loved life. As Ainsley held the pashmina close, she noticed it still carried the scent of nag champa incense, instantly transporting her back in time. It was a deeply wholesome moment—one filled with gratitude and love for her friend’s lasting presence in her life.
Later on, we traveled to Monarch Lake, a place rich with meaning for them. It’s where they went backpacking together for the first time, and being back felt like everything had come full circle. Walking the familiar trails, they couldn’t help but reflect on their journey together.
The day ended in Granby at a cozy Airbnb surrounded by family and friends. Ainsley’s brother officiated their intimate ceremony, creating a perfect mix of laughter and heartfelt emotion. With each teary-eyed vow, it was clear how much love and connection filled the room. Ainsley and Michael’s elopement wasn’t about extravagant details—it was about cherishing the people and places that mean the most to them.
